PURCHASING A VEHICLE FROM FASTCARSTORE

2. You can arrange to come and view the vehicle.
3. If you would like to secure any vehicle you can do so with a holding deposit.
4. If you prefer, we can arrange to deliver any vehicle to any UK destination
( subject to advance payment ).
5. We sell to Many Customers from Europe and can also deliver to Europe.

2. IF YOU ARE INTERSTED IN A CAR WHICH IS 'ARRIVING SOON'
then follow this procedure below:-
1. Contact us via the enquiries form and we can discuss the details.
2. If you would like to secure a vehicle that is 'Arriving Soon' you can do so with just a holding deposit.
3. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A VEHICLE 'DIRECT FROM JAPAN'
then follow this procedure below:-
1. Contact us via the Enquiries form above and give us as much information as possible.
4. Following discussion regarding all of your requirements and the receipt of your deposit into our account, we will then go ahead and search for and the car of your choice.
This might take just a few days or maybe a lot longer if your car request is hard to find or your budget proves to be too low.
We will however only buy a car that fits your requirements
NOT
the first one we see regardless.
We want you to be happy with your purchase!
5. Following successful purchase of your vehicle, we will then arrange to ship the car from Japan. In the meantime your car will wait in our Japanese storage yard.
6. The price that we quote and that you pay is an OTR price.
This means that you have not only FULLY paid for the vehicle
but also ALL the charges and costs incurred, including MOT, Registration and Road Tax.
7. Your Japanese Import Car is now on its way by ship to the UK destination port. Normally from Japan this is via a Ro Ro Ship, which basically means Roll On...Roll Off.
The alternative is a container but that is the more expensive option.
8. Once the ship arrives at the UK port we will have to Customs Clear the vehicle through our shipping agent. We will submit all relevant paperwork to Customs and then pay all the neccesary Customs and Duty charges.
9. Once Customs Clear we will then arrange to have the car collected from the port and delivered to our premises.
10. Following delivery to our premises, we will immediately arrange to fully check and prepare the car for it's MOT. We will then complete and submit all documentation required for Vehicle Registration with the DVLA.
11. Once the above process is complete, we will fit Number Plates and Tax Disc to your new Performance Car and you are free to collect or alternatively we will arrange to have it delivered to your door.

SHIPPING
If you place an order for your Jap Import Car, once purchased we have to book the vehicles onto a ship.
The frequency of the ships departure from Japan depends upon the destination port, so this will vary accordingly.
Booking of space comes on a first come first served basis and we can advise on shipping times once your vehicle has been purchased.
We take care of all paperwork and procedures if the car is arriving in the UK.
If buyers require cars to be forwarded onto Europe we can easily arrange this.
WORLDWIDE SHIPPING (Non UK)
Some customers require us to send vehicles directly from Japan to another worldwide destination other than the UK.
We normally do this type of business on an FOB basis.
This means that you will have paid not only for the vehicle but all Japanese costs including all documentation costs involved with getting your vehicle onto the ship.
In this case it will be your responsibility to perform customs clearance and pay all charges in your country and finally collect your car.
Most importers will hire a local agent to perform customs clearance. This is an easy procedure and we can give advice and help.
Once the ship arrives at your chosen port, your shipping agent will present your documents to customs for clearing your car or cars. They will use the cubic meterage of your shipment to calculate the freight charges that you pay.
The table below is a rough guide to the relevant sizes of different vehicles.
You do not need to work anything out yourself but you just need to be aware that a large 4x4 is obviously more expensive to ship from Japan than a small Mazda MX5.....
The M3 of the vehicle is used by the shipping company to calculate the cost of shipping vehicles from Japan. The cubic meterage of your vehicle is calculated by measuring the exterior dimension of the car and multiplying width x length x height.
